Arturo Corso is the founder of The Corso Law Center in Georgia and The Washington International Law Center in Washington, DC. For more than 30 years, he has devoted his career to serving individuals facing serious and often life-altering legal challenges, with a practice focused almost exclusively on criminal defense since 2001. Known for delivering highly personalized, concierge-level legal services, Mr. Corso represents clients in both Georgia state courts and federal courts, providing responsive, around-the-clock advocacy in high-stakes matters.
Mr. Corso’s career is marked by a series of notable firsts and professional distinctions. He was the first criminal defense lawyer from Northeast Georgia to be named a Georgia Super Lawyer, an honor he has now received for ten consecutive years (2016–2025), and previously earned recognition as a “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers Magazine. He is widely recognized for innovative courtroom advocacy, including being the first lawyer to use videoconference technology in a criminal jury trial. He is also the first fluent Spanish-speaking lawyer in North Georgia and founded the region’s first fully bilingual (English–Spanish) law firm, significantly expanding access to justice for Spanish-speaking clients.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Corso began his legal career in Boston as a VISTA AmeriCorps lawyer, followed by service as an Assistant District Attorney in Gainesville, Georgia. This public-service foundation continues to inform his practice, which reflects a strong commitment to equal rights for citizens and non-citizens alike. In addition to securing significant trial victories, he is known for resolving thousands of cases through dismissals and early resolutions, helping clients avoid unnecessary hardship, expense, and uncertainty. He has also demonstrated leadership beyond the courtroom, including launching initiatives to support young lawyers transitioning from public service to private practice.
Mr. Corso earned his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 1996 and his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 1992. He is admitted to practice in Georgia, the District of Columbia, and New York, and is fluent in English and Spanish.
