Cody Vidrine is a Partner at Loftin Law Group, LLC, formerly known as Loftin & LeBlanc. Since 2016, Cody has litigated cases throughout the State of Louisiana and in various federal courts which consisted of plaintiff personal injury cases for motor-vehicle wrecks, slip and fall and trip and fall cases, wrongful death, survival actions, and toxic torts after clients were injured for the negligence and fault of someone else. In addition to these personal injury cases, Cody has litigated numerous first party homeowner insurance claims and business interruption claims against insurance companies for hurricane and property damages. He also practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, all aspects of family and domestic law, and criminal defense matters including serious crimes of violence, and all other felonies and misdemeanors, in both federal and state courts. In November of 2024, Cody became a dual bar licensed attorney and was admitted to the State of Texas.
Cody earned his juris doctorate from Southern University Law Center and his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from McNeese State University. During his time at SULC, he interned for Judge Shelly Dick at the U.S.D.C. Middle District of Louisiana and also, Judge Jewel “Duke” Welch at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal.
Cody is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, the National Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Texas Bar Association. In 2018, Cody served as a board member for the Young Lawyers Division of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. From 2020 until 2022, Cody served as a House of Delegates for the 14th Judicial District of Louisiana with the Louisiana State Bar Association. Since 2020, Cody’s been selected as one of Louisiana’s Top 40 Under 40 for Plaintiff Personal Injury with the National Trial Lawyers Association in Louisiana. Additionally, Cody was selected as one of Louisiana’s Super Lawyer Rising Stars for 2023 and 2024. Lastly, Cody was recently selected by The Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for the 2024 and 2025 years.
Cody is admitted to all Louisiana State Courts, the Western District of Louisiana, the Middle District of Louisiana, the Eastern District of Louisiana, the Eastern District of Texas, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
