Aaron Wayt is an experienced and aggressive Tallahassee Criminal Defense Attorney qualified to handle any type of criminal case.

He is a current member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), the National College for DUI Defense, and DUI Defense Lawyers Association. Since 2021, Aaron serves as the statewide legislative chair for FACDL and will serve as FACDL President during the 2026-2027 term. He’s given input before to committees in the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives regarding criminal justice issues.

In addition to handling various types of legal issues, Aaron has expert training in defending those charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in Leon County, FL and surrounding areas of the Florida Panhandle. In 2019, Aaron was awarded the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ DUI Gladiator Award, recognizing him as the best DUI attorney in the state of Florida.

Aaron graduated from the Florida State University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He also graduated from FSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology. He began practicing criminal law as a Certified Legal Intern during his last year of law school with the Leon County Public Defender’s Office.

Aaron has been recognized by the Florida State University College of Law with the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award for providing over 500 hours of community service to the Leon County Public Defender’s Office.
